German WWII > Belt Buckles > HJ / DJ >
Here we have a Deutsches Jungvolk Koppelschloß that was introduced in 1933. It is constructed out of a single piece of die struck brass that has been copper flash coated, nickel-silver plated. The rectangular shaped obverse features a centrally placed bronze Sigrune (The Deutsche Jungvolk emblem) which lies on a smooth silvered backing. The reverse has a soldered on brass based catch and plated steel pin/post sleeve and prong assembly. It is clearly maker marked RZM 4/27, (Overhoff & Cie.). It shows typical surface scratches throughout. The plating remains 98%+ intact. The darker area to the upper left of the rune is a reflection. It measures approximately 2 ½ inches wide by 1 7/8 inches tall. Included is the belt this was purchased with measuring appox 41" in overall length. The belt is in nice shape. I also got a small, (5.5cmx4cm) photo I'm including. A nice and desired piece!
