This is a model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by RZM M7/25 (Wilhelm Wagner Solingen-Merscheid). A rare transitional example, I've not seen in a very long time! The blade on this one has age gray and evidence it's been cleaned. The acid etched maker mark it nice and clear! The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is nice and tight. Just some age spotting. The steel based, brown enamel repainted scabbard body has surface spidering, and some chips. I'm calling this a repaint but it may be original paint. It retains 99% paint coverage and remains completely dent free! The steel based, nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings are near perfect! The ball continues to hold its original round shape and all four screws remain intact! The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and it closes with a snap! The crossguards look good with the often seen bubbling and surface lifting of the plating. The grip / crossguard fits are excellent! The brown tiger-stripe hardwood grip is near perfect as well! No flakes, chips or cracks but it does have minor wear. The solid nickel eagle is a perfect fit and it does show wear to the high areas.
