Another pattern named after a famous German leader and the only pattern of the series to feature a Lion-head. The blade is a near mint example being pristine right down to the tip. The blade is stamped with the mid period Eickhorn maker mark. This pattern is illustrated in Angolia's reference pg 79 and known as Model 1710. The black enamel painted scabbard is dent-free. It has good paint with some age crazing and some scratches towards the drag. Say the paint is better than 96%. This is an brass based example with just light wear to the high areas. The top of the hilt expertly covers the tang with the mane. The P-guard has a beauty oak leaf and acorn motif. This pattern is continued everywhere including the ferrule, backstrap. The obverse languet features an art deco open-winged eagle. The grip is black celluloid and is in perfect shape without chips or cracks. It is wrapped with tight triple aluminum wire that really stands out against the black celluloid. A good example.
