Aviation Industry Civilian Retinue Pin
Here we have a Werkscharen Abteilung Luftfahrt (Aviation Department Work Squad) Membership Pin. The Werkscharen Abteilung Luftfahrt was a small sub-section of the DAF that worked closely with the Luftwaffe. It is constructed out of a die struck aluminum that has been silver washed. The obverse depicts a winged mobile swastika surrounded by an oak leaf wreath that is open at the top and tied together at the bottom. The full back reverse has a soldered well working steel pin assembly. It measures approximately 1 1/16 inches wide by 5/8 inches high. Nice detail!
