Imperial Prussian Army Belt & Buckle

A fine example of an Imperial Prussian Army Belt Buckle! The buckle is constructed out of a die struck, steel base that has been green painted. The obverse depicts the Imperial king's crown which is then encircled by detailed lines and enclosed by two twisted ropes. The crown is above a laurel leaf and berry wreath and below the Army motto: "GOTT MIT UNS" (God with us), which all lies on a smooth background. The steel prongs and catch remain in great condition. The obverse retains excellent detail. It measures approximately 2 ½ inch wide by 2 inches high. The belt is heavy and approx 37" long, (I believe it's been period shortened at the end about 2") with an intact leather tab.
