Japan, WWII - Cased Medical or Pay Master Lieutenant Colonel’s Full Dress Uniform Shoulder Boards. A pair of full dress shoulder boards, each of which are comprised of dual interwoven cords, one gold in color, the other silver, with a decorative, golden-colored convex alloy button to one end and two gilt five pointed stars to each that represent the rank of lieutenant colonel. Original metal attachment slides are intact to a black wool backing. These boards come housed in their original pressed cardboard case that is covered in a tan paper covering. one edge of the top is broken. They each measure 5 5/8 inches long by 2 inches wide.
