Hannoverscher - Landeskriegerverband Mitgliedsabzeichen mit Spange c.1901-1918. German states awarded badges to long standing members of the veterans and warriors associations. It is a multipiece construction made out of a die struck/stamped nickel-silver alloy base that has been chemically burnished with enamel work and a rayon ribbon. Suspended to the back, with a bar, is a yellow and white rayon ribbon that reads, in black ink to the front: “Hannoverscher Kriegerverein M. f. N. Hannover” (Hannover State Warrior Association Military Association for Lower Saxony (Militärverein für Niedersachsen) Hannover) and has a twisted bullion fringe stitched to the base. Attached to the top is a yellow and white enamel bar that reads: “Hannoverscher Landes-Kriegerverband E.V.”. The reverse shows a soldered-on pin and wire that attaches the clasp to the award. Both are maker marked: “L&W Hannover”. It measures 1 11/16 inches wide by 3 3/16 inches tall.
