Bronze DRL Sports Badge Booklet and Patch
Heft für das Urkundenbest für Männer mit Stoff Deutsches Reichssportabzeichen in Bronze. Karl Hermann (born June 22, 1921) was awarded the Bronze DRL Badge on February 20, 1941. Hermann had completed all five group conditions by October 5, 1940. The patch is constructed out of a machine embroidered bronze colored rayon thread to a black rayon backing. The oval shaped obverse depicts a centrally placed “DRL” in stylized Gothic letters which is surrounded by an oak leaf wreath which is tied together at the bottom with a ribbon and swastika. The booklet features Hermanns photo, name, birthdate etc. along with multiple stamps and his signed off requirements. It measures 5 13/16 wide by 8 3/16 inches tall. A rare grouping!
