Second Pattern - Russian POA Volunteer Sleeve Shield. The Russian POA were anti-Communist Russian volunteers who fought with the German armed forces, though the first ROA division did fight against the Germans in May 1945. It is constructed out of a printed/died cotton base. The obverse features a blue satire shield below “POA” (Russkaia Osvoboditelnia Armia/Russian Army of Liberation) in yellow, on a grey background. It measures 2 7/8 inches square.
