Cased Bavarian 25 Year Industrial Faithful Service Award
Treuedienstabzeichen der Bayerischen Industrie im Etui by Deschler& Sohn of München. The Bavarian Industrial Service Award was awarded for 25 years of loyal service in industry. The award is constructed out of a die struck 900 silver content base that has polished highlights and blue and white enamel work. The oval shaped obverse features a cog wheel and Bavarian crest flanked by two lions, above a mobile swastika flaked by two dual oak leaves all underneath “Ehre der Arbeit” (Honor of Work). The reverse reads: “Für 25 Jahre Treue Dienste” (For 25 Years Loyal Service), surrounded by “Die Bayerische Industrie” (The Bavarian Industry). The rim is marked: “900”. To the top is a soldered-on loop and ring which is attached to a parade mount ribbon bar. The ribbon bar is construct out of a stamped alloy metal base that is covered to the obverse with a blue and white rayon ribbon, which is stitched to a blue satin reverse that has a brass pin assembly. The award measures 1 5/16 inches wide by 1 3/4 inches tall. Accompanying the award is a miniature medal with a bow tie ribbon and a 5 ¾ inch long piece of blue and rayon ribbon. These three pieces come housed in their appropriate issue case. The case measures 5 1/4 inches deep by 2 11/16 inches wide by 7/8 of an inch thick. A great assembly.
