A M1935 Heer Dolch by WMW - Max Weyersberg (Waffen) of Solingen. The bright blade on this one looks great. The stamped “WMW Waffen” maker mark is nicely executed. The crossgrain is easily visible to the entire length of the blade. The blade rates Exc++/NM. There is minor age grey/spotting and the tip has the slightest wave to it. The leather buffer pad remains intact. The sheet metal scabbard is nicely nickel plated. There are several spots of oxidization and minor pressure marks throughout. It provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling throughout and burnished oak leaf and acorn bands. The single throat retaining screws remains intact. The alloy based, nickel plated and burnished crossguard also provides beautiful details throughout the eagle's head, wings, wreath and chest. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns. The white Goliath grip is a rare prize. It shows nice patina. There are heat/age cracks throughout. Textbook generic configuration with a rare grip material.
