Neatherlands, WWII - Nationaal-Socialistische Bewweging Strjdersteken der Weerbaarheidsafdeling Medaille. Instituted January 7, 1943, the Dutch NSB-WA “Old Fighters”/“Storm Troopers” Medal was awarded to the original members of the NSB-WA who served during the 1932-1935 period (on December 31, 1935, the WA was disbanded and prohibited, in May 17, 1940, the Netherlands was occupied by Germany), and then again in November 1942 come the NSB’s 10 year anniversary. It is constructed out of a die stamped bronze base that has been bronze washed and lacquered. The round shaped obverse features a centrally placed “Wolfsangle” surrounded by an oak leaf and acorn wreath that is open to the top and tied together at the bottom with a bow tie. The reverse reads: “Alles voor het Vaderland 1932-1935”. To the top is a soldered on loop and ring which holds 4 inches of black and red rayon ribbon. It measures 1 3/8 inches (34mm) in diameter. A rare piece.
