Abzeichen für Frauenbund der Deutschen Kolonialgesellschaft by Rob. Neff of Berlin - c.1918-1932. The German Colonial Society was a German organization formed on December 19, 1887, to promote German colonialism. It is constructed out of a die struck nickel-silver base that has been silver washed, contains blue enamel work all behind a protective layer coating. The oval shaped obverse features the Kolonial emblem of two cross palm trees, which are surrounded by “Frauenbund der Deutschen Kolonialgesellschaft”. The full back reverse features a horizontally soldered-on round plate marked “Rob. Neff Berlin W5” that holds a well working pin assembly. See pg. 254 or 291 of Hüsken’s Abzeichen catalog for more info. It measures 7/8 of an inch wide by 1 1/8 inches tall.
