Schützenschnur für Panzertruppen. The second variation marksmen lanyard was introduced October 17, 1938. This version had 12 grades for either the infantry, panzer or artillery soldiers. It is constructed out of a die stamped bronze base that has been silver washed. The obverse depicts a tank below a national eagle clutching a mobile swastika surrounded by a track. The reverse has a pin, hinge and catch assembly. These normally have prongs to attach it to a lanyard. The pin, hinge and catch more-so resembles a 1957 assembly. It measures 2 3/16 inches tall by 1 5/8 inches wide. A neat piece!
