A Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by RZM M7/37 - Robert Klaas of Solingen-Ohligs. The blade on this one has some age and spotting. The dark acid etched “Alles für Deutschland” motto and “RZM M7/37” maker mark are crisp and beautifully executed! The some crossgrain remains. The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is nice and tight! The blade rates an Exc+. It shows typical runner marks. The scabbard is steel based and brown painted. It shows surface spidering. It continues to remain completely dent free and retains 99%+ paint coverage! The steel based, nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings are in excellent condition, retaining 99%+ plating coverage. The ball remains perfectly round and all four screws are tightly secured! The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect. The crossguards are solid nickel. The nut is steel. The brown hardwood grip looks good but someone used the top end to tap in a nail or such and there are wee hits. It has the typical pressure marks but no cracks or chips. The nickel-silver eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SA roundel is retains 99%+ of its enamel and also has a perfect fit! A very nice RZM from a Vet's family, never been apart or in a collection.
