GDAO Membership Badge by R. Bunk
1. Form - Gesamtverband deutscher Arbeitsopfer (GDAO) Mitgliedsabzeichen by Rud. G. Bunk of Berlin. The GDAO was an organization that was concerned with German workers who had become victims of an industrial injury or accident. It is constructed out of a die struck bronze base that has been bronze washed. The obverse features an encircles mobile swastika above a brick hammer and cog wheel, that is flanked by two oak leaves and isabove “GDAO” and two acorns. The full back reverse is maker marked: “Rud. G. Bunk Berlin” and has a vertically soldered on tombak pin assembly that remains in well working condition. It measures 13/16 of an inch wide by 1 inch tall. A rare piece.
