Municipal - Seitengewehr für Polizei. Here's a rare example.The full length 10.25" plated blade is very clean. The blade rates NM. The brass based hilt is in good shape showing just light wear and nice patina. The grip plates are damage free just showing light wear, 100% of the plating remain intact with no wear to the brass base. The obverse plate has a Weimar Prussian emblem pinned to it. The plates are retained by two dressed tombac rivets. Best of all the clam shell remains intact! Scabbard shell shows bumps from where the runners have been pushing against it for the past 75 years. It has the two trim lines which run the length of each the edges. The stitching is all intact. The shell is fitted with, matching patinaed, undented nickel plated scabbard mounts. These have scalloped edges and show light wear. They are held by staples in the usual manner.
