Fourth Pattern Heer Großdeutschland Ärmelstreiffen. The Großdeutschland Division was an elite combat unit of the German Army. It is constructed out of black wool base with machine embroidered white cotton/rayon stitching. The rectangular shaped obverse reads “Großdeutschland”, in white on a black backing with two horizontal borders. It shows the odd thread catch and wear throughout. It measures 14 1/2 inches long.
