A Model 1935 Heer Dolch. Here's an excellent example of a completely correct and matching generic Army Dagger! The bright unmarked blade looks great! The crossgrain is visible throughout, it retains a solid fit and ends at a perfect tip. The blade rates Exc+/Exc++. It has been cleaned and shows some age greying throughout. The leather washer remains intact. The dent free scabbard is steel based and nickel plated. It provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling throughout and oak leaf and acorn bands! The original throat retaining screw remains intact. The alloy based, nickel plated crossguard also provides beautiful details throughout the eagle's head, wings, wreath and chest! The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns! These hilt fittings match in age, patina and plating wear. The solid goliath based grip on this one looks interesting It has hundreds of micro cracks and a couple hairlines. There are no chips. This is exactly how this early trylon substitute ages. I like it! There is a well worn portepee included as well as a decent set of hangers. The buckles and top hanger fittings are tombac based and the rest are zinc. A fine looking example.
