Hitler Youth Knife by Eickhorn
A Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by Carl Eickhorn 1941. This piece is very unique. It does not have a maker mark yet the “41” ricasso date stamp and the scabbard both prove that this was made by Eickhorn / RZM M7/66. The ricassoed blade on this one looks great. The stamped “41” dated ricasso is perfectly executed. Gorgeous crossgrain remains. The fit continues to remain nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates Mint-. The leather buffer remains intact. The steel based Eickhorn specific black enamel painted scabbard is in excellent condition. It has two runners which is correct for this period. It remains dent free and holds 98% paint coverage. The hanger leather is in wonderful condition. The snap continues to work well. The alloy nickel-silver plated hilt retains 99% of its plating. The grip plates are damage-free black checkered presstof. Both steel rivets remain tightly secured. The HJ diamond has 99%+ of its enamel. A unique and beautiful Hitler Youth knife!
