Very Early - M1935 Heer Dolchgehänge. The back connector, bands and clips are all constructed out of a tombak base that has been silver washed. The buckles and prongs are constructed out of a solid nickel-silver base. The bands and buckles depict beautiful oak leaves and acorns throughout. The well working clips have that touch of pebbled detail to them. All of these components are held together with two straps. They are constructed out of a cotton base that is covered in a brown felt material (reverse) and a patterned aluminum flatwire stitching (obverse). The tops have been folded over and sewn so perhaps period shortened? The reverse felt is not exactly matching in color. The fronts match perfect and the wear is equal. A wonderful set!
