Model 1933 Schutzstaffel Dienstdolch by Heinrich Boker of Solingen. The Cadillac of all SS Dagger makers, Boker! The blade on this one looks good. It has very fine crossgrain that runs the full length of the blade and the fit and tip are both perfect! The dark and crisp, acid etched "Meine Ehre heist Treue" motto and "Boker Solingen" maker mark are both beautifully executed and provide a wonderful contrast to the bright blade! The blade rates a Exc+/Exc++! It has some minor age greying/spotting throughout. The black anodized scabbard is looks good. It has a wonderful back finish that I believe has been professionally redone post-war. Most would never know but I do so I share it with you. There are no dents. The solid nickel scalloped fittings also look excellent. The ball retains has a hit to the bottom but not too bad. All four scabbard screws remain intact. The solid nickel crossguards look excellent as well! The reverse of the lower fitting is district stamped "I" (Minich). The black died hardwood grip looks great, and is better than most SS daggers! There are normal wee marks from period wear and a hairline to the lower right obverse. The solid nickel eagle is wonderfully detailed. The SS roundel retains 99% of its enamel and has a perfect fit! This piece also comes with an early black leather hanger that has a repair at the top it will display well. A very nice example.
