Rare Early SA Dagger by E. Kemper

A real treat when these rare ones come around! This one rates 10 out of 10 on McSaars SA rarity rating list! The blade on this one is in nice condition! The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and "Ernst Kemper Solingen" maker mark are both crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain is easily visible all the way from the hilt to the tip. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates Exc+/Exc++. It only shows minor age throughout and the common surface scratche. The steel based, brown repainted scabbard looks excellent. The paint maybe period but I'm not sure.It's 90%+ intact! The solid nickel scabbard fittings look excellent matching the crossguards in color and patina! The ball remains perfectly round but with a tiny bruise to the bottom you will have to go looking to find. All four scabbard screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Ha" (Hansa), also a rare gau mark. The light brown hardwood grip looks excellent! It only shows the common pressure marks throughout. No cracks, chips or flakes! The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. A rare one missing from most collections!
