Hitler Youth Knife
A solid late war example. The unmarked blade on this one looks great! It was likely marked but the blade has lots of scuffs and it's now gone to time. The blade rates VG. It shows surface scratching, sharpening and age grey throughout. The original brown leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The undenrted steel based, black enamel painted scabbard is in excellent condition! It shows minor spotting and oxidation throughout yet retains good paint coverage. The folded brown leather strap retains all of its rivets and the snap continues to work very well! The leather is in great condition. The hilt is constructed out of a zinc-alloy base that has been nickel-silver plated. The plating remains 50%+ intact. The two black checkered, bakelite grip plates are tightly secured to the hilt by two steel rivets. To the center obverse of the grip is a perfect wiggly HJ diamond. This was obtained from the Vet's family.
