A Model 1933 Schutzstaffel Dienstdolch by Ernst Pack & Sohne of Solingen. The blade on this one looks good. The acid etched “Meine Ehre Heißt Treue” motto and “E.P. & S. Solingen” maker mark are both nicely executed. The blade is nicely seated up against the hilt and the and the tip comes to a perfect point. It rates Exc+. It have been cleaned and shows surface scratches throughout, that were tough to photograph. It shows minor age spotting as well. The scabbard is steel based and heavily black lacquered with nickel-silver guards. It shows surface scratches throughout and one pressure mark to the back side. Four scabbard screws remain intact, the one lower is a replacement. The ball has a few bruises to its bottom. The nickel-silver crossguards look good. It looks as though they have been cleaned as well with the blade. The reverse of the lower crossguard is stamp “I” (Munich). The black died hardwood grip is in great condition. There are pressure marks throughout and one flake chip to the top. The solid nickel-silver eagle is wonderfully detailed and has a perfect fit. The SS roundel retains 99%+ of its enamel and has a perfect fit!
