Cased German Franco-Prussian War Veterans Medal
Original era manufacture. This well made veterans association medal features a 25x25 mm, enameled Iron Cross, with the letters KDB, GEG 1 OKT 1884 on the obverse. Suspended from a gilt brass 19th century style bar with horizontal pin, and a black-white-red silk ribbon. This comes cased in a period style box of cardbord with tortise sheel finish. I do not know if the case is correct for the medal however it does IMHO appear to be period German manufactured.
