Early Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by Gustav Hake of Solingen direct from the Vet's family. The fit is perfect, the tip is perfect the crossgrain is stunning against the light and the acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and maker mark are both beautifully executed! The blade rates a solid NM. It has just the slightest spotting throughout with good crossgrain. The patinaed brown anodized scabbard looks good, with just a wee "pinprick" type hit to reverse while retaining 90%+ of it's factory lacquer over the brown anodized finish. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great, they do have wee bumps from normal period use. The ball remains completely round. All four screws remain intact! The scabbard / crossguard fit is absolutely perfect and closes with a snap! The solid nickel crossguards are in excellent condition. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped "Ha". The grip / crossguard fits are near perfect! The brown hardwood grip has a nice finish and looks great! It has ween normal small hits and bumps as one expects from normal period use. There are no chips or cracks, no not even above the roundel. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. Included is and original short hanger. Nice example by a desired maker.
