A Model 1933 SA Dagger (Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch) by F.A. Kirschbaum & Co. of Solingen. The blade on this one is well worn. The acid etched “Alles für Deutschland” motto and “F.A. Kirschbaum & Co. Solingen” maker mark are both nicely executed! Some crossgrain remains visible. The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit remains nice and tight! This blade rates an Exc/Exc+. It shows age pitting and heavy spotting throughout. The steel based, brown anodized scabbard looks great. It has a few scratch marks and some oxidization spotting throughout. It continues to remain dent free. The solid nickel-silver scabbard fittings look excellent matching the crossguards in color and patina! The ball shows a wee hit to the very bottom. All four screws and ring remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is near perfect! The crossguards are also nickel-silver based. The reverse of the lower crossguard is gau marked: “Nrh” (Niederrhein). The pommel nut shows several scratch marks. The brown hardwood grip looks great! It shows several pressure marks throughout. The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 35%+ of its enamel. This one rates 8 out of 10 for rarity. It was obtained from the veterans family.
