Etched 1871 Jäger Bayonet by Clemen & Jung
Superior example here of a rare bayonet. This was authorized for Jager regiments. This ecample has a beautiflly triple etched blade and is maker marked C&J to the spine. The scabbard is leather with nickel plated fittings secured with staples. The leather has some scuffs and a crease but is all solid. The hilt is steel based with minor plating loss from honest wear. the grips are bakelite.
