IJA EM/NCO Field Cap w neck protection

A IJA EM/NCO Wool Field Cap. It is constructed out of a multi-piece khaki-colored wool material that has been stitched together. The front center features a separately applied yellow machine embroidered cotton star on top of pentagon backing, that is above a field repaired leather chin strap and a stiffened visor. The visor has an internal cardboard stiffener which is internally broken in the center allowing it to fold. The sides each feature two ventilation holes. It is marked on both sides, I assume a name? The back shows four stitched grommets with an adjustable olive cotton string running through them. The interior is lined in a cotton material. To the rear is a protection 4 section cotton arrangement for protection from the sun. A nice display cap!
