Ok so guys always ask me, " So how do I know for sure that this is 3rd Reich?". Well that can be difficult. This is one of the few examples we can with absolute certainty say is 3rd Reich! This is a super sword. This one has a gorgeous triple etched, single fuller, 31 inch long plated blade. The detail to the ships, anchors and oak leaves are beautiful. The stamped “WKC” knight's head is perfectly executed. The tip is perfect and the fit is nice and tight. The blade rates an easy Exc+. It shows the slightest evidence of age with the odd spot and surface scratches throughout. The beige felt buffer pad remains intact. The elaborate leather scabbard is in fine shape. The leather shows wear and scuffs that we normally see on these from honest period wear. The three gilt brass fittings are correctly secured with staples and adorned with intricate hand-engraved wave patterns. The grip is in good condition with the original triple brass wire wrap (a few strands are a bit loose, this is common on these). There is some minor wear to the grip but no chips or cracks to the celluloid. The entire hilt is brass based and hand chased with great care. The ferrule has fine detailed acorns and oak leaves. The tang has been expertly hidden with hand work disguising it into the lion's mane. Finally correctly finishing this is a early golden bullion Navy portepee.
