Multi-piece construction in silver gilt with fine enamel work. There is gold center piece ring with sixteen red glass cabochons approx 75mm, triple prong attachment on the reverse. there are 2 rays with some hairlines as shown. In its hardshell case of issue, balsa wood frame, black lacquer finish, octagonal, gilt characters on the lid and a silk tassel. I researched the case and this style was thought to be for presentation to foreigners.
