Here we have a Rare Early Model 1933 SA Dagger (Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch) by David Malsch. This one rates 10 out of 10 on theMcSarr SA rarity rating list! The blade on this one looks good. The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and "David Malsch Steinbach" maker mark are both nicely executed! The tip comes to a sharp point and the fit remains nice and tight! This blade rates an Exc+. It has been cleaned, shows some age graying and surface scratches throughout. The original scabbard is steel based and has been repainted brown. It shows the odd scratch and age crazing throughout yet remains completely dent free! The solid nickel-silver scabbard fittings look good matching the crossguards in color and patina! The ball has taken a bottom hit. Four screws are in place. The scabbard / crossguard fit is near perfect and closes with a snap! The crossguards are also nickel-silver based. The reddish brown hardwood grip looks good. It has wear but no chips, no cracks, no flakes. The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 97%+ of its enamel. A rare one!
