German WWII > Belt Buckles > Navy >
Hard to find set-up. Buckle in gilt bronze, illustrating a large "W" (Wilhelm cypher) fronting an anchor, surmounted by the Imperial crown and surrounded by an open-ended wreath of laurel leaves, on the right end, unmarked, the buckle measuring approx 40mm diameter. Belt is fabricated in navy blue/black ribbed rayon with quality black velvet backings, the right end with a metal hook, along with nine brass eyelets embedded into the black velvet on the reverse, a brass slider beside the buckle and securing it in place where the belt folds around to the reverse, brass receiving clip on the left end with a integral loop immediately to the left, the belt fed through two gilt brass dagger hanger loops on the left side, each bearing the head of a lion and a ring below the head. These two hanger loops are not perfectly matching as one is a 3rd Reich period replacement. The belt is long measuring over 50" x 36 mm. It is sized to 43".
