Here we have a Model 1933 SA Dagger (Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch) by Hugo Köller of Solingen. The blade on this one is well worn. The acid etched “Alles fur Deutschland” motto and “Hugo Köller Solingen” manufacturer’s mark are both nicely executed! Some crossgrain remains visible. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates Exc+. It shows age grey and surface scratches throughout. It has been ever-so-slightly re-tipped and shortened approximately 1mm. The steel based brown anodized scabbard looks awesome! It has a nice brown finish and remains completely dent free! The solid nickel silver scabbard fittings look excellent! The ball is perfectly round and all four screws remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The crossguards match the scabbard fittings in wear, color and patina. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped “He” (Hessen). The brown hardwood grip looks excellent! Minor pressure marks but no cracks chips or flakes! The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. A gorgeous exterior that will display quite nicely!
