Here's a serialized Boker! The blade on this one is nice. The dark and crisp, acid etched Meine Ehre heisst Treue motto and Boker maker mark are both beautifully executed, providing an excellent contrast to the blade! The etch has some pimpling we often see on Bokers. The tip looks perfect, and it has a beautiful fit! There are some wee pits and evidence of cleaning at some point by someone. Some crossgrain remains visible. The blade rates Exc++. The black painted scabbard body looks excellent! It continues to remain dent free but sghows some scratches most notably from where the hanger would have rubbed. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great matching the crossguard in color, wear and patina. Ok so yes, we normally see early all nickel daggers with a anodized scabbard and some of the later issue Bokers came with a painted scabbard. If you recall Boker was never issued a RZM code and continued to produce SS daggers when some makers had moved on to the RZM configuration. Regardless Witty and I discussed this a while back and he has seen this often. It remains all four scabbard screws and the ball retains its round shape. It has a minor bruises. The scabbard / crossguard fit is near perfect and closes with a snap! The solid nickel crossguards look great! The reverse of the lower crossguard is district stamped "I". Just in front of the district stamp is a serialization number that reads: "269528". The black died hardwood grip is exactly what we expect on a boker with great fits. It has some hairlines but no chips or flakes. The solid nickel eagle retains nice detail and has a perfect fit! The SS roundel sits a but proud and retains 99% of it's enamel. Finally a decent SS hanger is included. A nice example!
