Here’s a nice untouched piece. Blade is nice but has some roughness to the “cutting” surface like maybe someone rubbed it on a rock or hit it on a hard surface. It’s not sharpened. It has some heavy runner marks that improve as you get to the “Otter” maker mark. No stains and just the lightest of age. Motto is crisp and perfectly executed, some crossgrain remains. The blade rates a Exc+. Undented scabbard is in good shape with near perfect anodizing. It has wee bumps from normal period wear. The very bottom of the ball is a bit flattened but not too bad. The nickel silver fittings show period wear and matching patina. All screws are intact! Hardwood handle displays good grain and is free of chips and cracks again just normal wee hits and bumps from normal wear. Eagle is perfectly fit with patina to the recesses. Roundel retains 100% of enamel. The handle shoulders and radii nicely fit the solid nickel guards. The crossguard is stamped "Ho", but where? Waaaaaay over there to the left lower reverse corner and look it’s stamped upside down! Which is quite correct for you guys who like to check me against the books. Blade is nicely set into the crossguard. All the patina matches everywhere. All the fits are there and exactly like I try to buy 'em. You otter have this!
