A beautiful example of a very rare Model 1933 SA Dagger (Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch) by C. Lütters & Cie. of Solingen. This one rates 10 out of 10 on McSaars SA rarity rating. The blade on this one is beautiful! The dark and crisp acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "by C. Lütters & Cie. L?wenwerk Solingen" manufacturer's mark are both beautifully executed! The full crossgrain shines wonderfully in the light! The fit is nice and tight and tip comes to a perfect point! You can't ask for much more! The blade rates a solid NM. It shows the slightest age greying and the common surface scratches/runner marks. The steel based, brown anodized scabbard is in beautiful condition! It shows minor oxidization spotting yet retains 55%+ of its original lacquered finish. It remains completely dent free. The solid nickel silver scabbard fittings look wonderful. The ball remains perfectly round and all four scabbard screws remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The crossguards match the scabbard fittings quite well. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped "Ns" (Niedersachsen). The brown hardwood grip looks excellent! It shows a wee hairline crack above the roundel, which is quite common to see, and a flake to the reverse top, along with the common pressure marks. I'm being anal here it is really very nice! The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 98%+ of its enamel. A very rare maker mark and to find one in this condition is very difficult! If you're thinking of only going to getting one why not have this one be it!
