A very rare and desirable transitional maker mark! Here we have a Transitional Model 1933 SA Dagger (Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch) by H. & F. Lauterjung of Solingen - RZM M7/6. The blade on this one looks excellent! The dark and crisp acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and double "RZM M7/6 H. & F. Lauterjung Solingen" maker marks are beautifully executed! The crossgrain wonderfully shines against the light, running the full length of the blade! The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is nice and tight. The blade rates a Exc++. It has spotting/age grey along with the common runner marks / surface scratches throughout. The steel based, brown enamel painted scabbard body looks great. Typical age wear and spidering. It retains 90%+ paint coverage and remains completely dent free. The steel based, nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings are in excellent condition, they show minor surface scratches and retain 99%+ plating coverage! The ball retains a nice round shape and three of four screws remain tightly secured. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The crossguards are zinc based and nickel-silver plated. They show the typical bubbling. The brown hardwood grip is in wonderful condition! The odd pressure mark but no flakes, chips or cracks. The nickel-silver eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SA roundel is retains 99%+ of its enamel and has a perfect fit! Always nice to see a rare transitional example like this one!
