Here we have an early 1933 pattern ”sew-on’ style Hitler Youth Shoulder Straps (Hitlerjunge Schulterklappen) for Bann “234” (Viersen-Kempen - Ruhr-Niederrhein - West). They are constructed out of two-ply machine embroidered tan cotton twill with machine embroidered yellow cotton numbers and stitched on yellow piping (Obberbann 2). The rectangular shaped obverse’s shows an off centered “234” (Bann Number) above a “I” (Roman Unterbann numeral) in yellow, and underneath a button hole and it has a pointed tip along with bordered yellow waffenfarbe piping. They measures approximately 4 1/4 inches long by 1 5/8 inches wide. Nice!
