It is constructed out of a tan lacquered buckram base that is covered in a glued on blue wool with machine embroidered litzen and flatwire thread above a cardboard base. The reverse shows the buckram base, to the center, that is surrounded by the folded over blue wool covering. It shows moth holes throughout. It shows black threads where it would have been stitched to a uniform. It measures approximately 1 ¾ inches wide by 3 ¾ inches tall. A nice piece!
