This is the best Early SS officer sword of the entire 2017 MAX. The lion-head sword looks great and incorporates all the best features of the period, great quality, evil red ruby eyes set into a fierce animal and an iconic early political style eagle. The 35.5" long plated blade rates stone mint being bright and clean with absolutely no reason to make excuses. The length is extra ordinarily long. This completely lines up with the height requirements for the early SS guys. The blade is stamped with the early Alcoso scales maker mark and retains it's factory buffer. This pattern is illustrated in Alcoso's Catalog as pattern 120. The black enamel repainted scabbard is dent-free. It has excellent paint with just the most minor evidence of wear. The paint is better than 99.9%. This hilt is nickel plated and burnished and then lacquered. To The reverse languet is a beautiful personalization "GB". The top of the hilt is hand chiseled expertly covering the tang. The grip is black celluloid and is in perfect shape without chips or cracks. It is wrapped with triple brass wire that really stands out against the black celluloid. An outstanding example.
