The maker on this one rates 7 out of 10 on McSaars SA rarity ratting, The blade on this one is a real screamer! The dark and crisp acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "C. Remscheid & Co. REMEVE Solingen-Aufderhohe" maker mark are both beautifully executed! The crossgrain is stunning running the full length of the blade. It has a perfect fit and perfect tip! The blade rates a solid NM! The steel based, brown anodized scabbard shows period wear to the finish that is down to the base metal. I say that and there is no oxidation. It remains completely dent free! The solid nickel scabbard fittings show similar wear. The lower fitting and ball have some bumps and bruises. All four scabbard screws remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and it closes with a snap! The crossguards match the scabbard fitting is patina age, color and wear. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gruppe stamped "Wf". The grip / crossguard fits are near perfect! The brown hardwood grip looks good suffering a couple flakes and a hairline to the reverse upper. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and has a perfect fit! The SA roundel retains 100% of its enamel. A fine looking blade on this one!
