Here's a nice piece! The blade on this one is in great condition! The blade has a perfect tip, perfect fit, beautiful crossgrain and a dark and beautifully executed motto and 'spectacles" maker mark! The dark motto will definitely make for a nice display. It's never been cleaned and has a bit of age but certainly rates an easy Exc+/Exc++. The brown anodized scabbard shows wear and thinning of the finish as well a some oxidizing to the lower reverse. The fittings are solid nickel with nice patina. The lower fitting has a perfect ball. All screws remain intact. The scabbard/crossguard fit looks great! The solid nickel crossguards have minor wear throughout and have also nicely patinaed perfectly matching the hilt. The lower-reverse crossguard is marked "Nrh". The crossguard/grip fits are perfect! The brown hardwood grip is in great condition. It has a few pressure marks and a couple small hairlines towards the upper crossguard. There are no chips! The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and fits perfectly in to the grip! The roundel retains 100% of its enamel and also fits perfectly. This piece has a lot of great features!
