Here we have a 2nd pattern Justice Official Buckle by Overhoff & Cie that was introduced in 1937. It is constructed out of a die struck aluminum-alloy base that has been silver washed. The obverse features a centrally placed national eagle with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed mobile swastika on top of a smooth round backing that is surrounded by detailed lies and surrounded again by a laurel leaf and berry wreath that is tied together at the bottom. The reverse shows a crimped on catch and hook and keeper assembly. It is also maker marked "O & C" (Overhoff & Cie., Lüdenscheid) and marked "Ges. Gesch.". The buckle measures approximately 2 inches in diameter. Beautiful detail and silver wash to this rare buckle!
