An Armband for a Reichsleiter in the Reichsleitung
Multi-piece red wool (minor mothing to nap, one mm hole) with central, white, ribbed rayon circular field (stained) with canted, black ribbed rayon tape swastika. Both white circular field and swastika bordered in gilt wire thread piping and swastika has a gilded alloy political style rank pip to center. Applied to outer edges is a machine woven, horizontal strip of repeating gilt 24mm raised-wire oak-leaves, with 3mm gilt wire piping. Top and bottom of armband is bordered in yellow rayon piping. Complete with paper RZM tag. Extremely Rare! Length approx. 48cm Reichsleiter (national leader or Reich leader) was the second highest political rank of the Nazi Party (NSDAP), next only to the office of Führer. Reichsleiter also served as a paramilitary rank in the Nazi Party and was the highest position attainable in any Nazi organisation. The Reichsleiter reported directly to Adolf Hitler. The Reichsleiter formed part of the Reichsleitung of the NSDAP which was originally located in the "Brown House" in Munich.
