A solid early one right from the Vet's family! The blade on this one looks nice. The acid etched and period painted "Alles für Deutschland" motto and one of 2 variant maker marks look good! The fits are all perfect as a matter of fact this thing has never been taken apart, cleaned or messed with in any way.The tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates an Exc++ with just a few fingerprint stains. This has never been cleaned and all the crossgrain remains. The steel based, brown anodized scabbard looks excellent! It has a very very slight dent to the middle obverse you can find with your fingers but I could not get a good shot of it. The body retains 95%+ of the factory lacquer and has that copper tinge you can see when you hold this in the sun. Really nice. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look excellent. The ball retains a nice round shape and all four screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is near perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Sw". The brown hardwood grip looks good. It is chip and crack-free with just normal wee hits and marks from period wear. The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel retains 99%+ of its enamel. A solid piece with perfectly matching patina!
