Wow check out this beauty! A centerpiece to any collection! A 1st Pattern NSDAP Enamel Sign that would have been displayed on NSDAP party buildings. It is constructed out of square beveled steel sheet metal base that has been black and white enamel painted. The obverse features a black 1st pattern NSDAP style eagle with open wings clutching a wreathed swastika in its talons above, in black gothic style lettering: "NSDAP", which lies on a white enamel field and is surrounded in a dual thin/thicker lined boarder. There are four mounting holes, one to each corner. The concave reverse is black. The obverse shows oxidization spots and enamel loss, mostly to the outer edges. The reverse shows oxidization spotting throughout. There is a slight bend to the bottom right hand corner. No metal loss. It retains 97%+ of its enamel and the eagle and NSDAP script look wonderful! This piece is in much better condition than most! It measures 19 ½ inches wide and tall. A wonderful display piece!
