Well makers doesn't come rarer than this! This one rates 10 out of 10 for rarity! The blade on this one looks great! The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and "A M Aug. Malsch Fr. Sohn Steinbach Kr. M" maker mark are both dark and beautifully executed! The crossgrain is easily visible from hilt to tip. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates a solid Exc++/NM. It shows the common surface scratches and age spotting throughout. The steel based, brown anodized scabbard looks great! It continues to remain completely dent free and hold a nice brown finish to it. It shows oxidization spotting throughout. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great. The ball has a wee bump to it yet it retains a nice shape. All four screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Th" (Thuringen). The brown hardwood grip is near perfect! Just the odd pressure mark! The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. An excellent rare piece!
