A good piece. The blade on this one looks fine. The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and "Wagner & Lange Solingen" maker mark are both look great. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a nice point! This blade rates a solid Exc. It has been cleaned, re-crossgrained, it has a small nick and the common surface scratches throughout. The steel based, brown anodized scabbard looks great! It continues to hold 65% of its original factory lacquer and remains completely dent free. It shows oxidization spotting throughout. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great. The ball has a bump to it yet it retains a nice round shape. All four screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The solid nickel crossguards look great! There is no Gau mark. The brown hardwood grip looks fine. There is a large chip to the top obverse, flakes to the top reverse and the odd pressure mark throughout. The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 97%+ of its enamel. A good one.
